Take Your Fucking Roof For You: Oscar-winning developer A Way Out shows new game It Takes Two

Company Electronic arts presented in the framework of the broadcast today EA Play several new games from independent developers, created under the brand name EA Originals. One of them has become It takes two – three-dimensional platform action-adventure game with a cooperative for two from Yousef Faresauthor Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons and A way out.

The main characters of the new adventure will be dolls created by a little girl, in the family of whom everything goes to divorce. However, in some magical way, the consciousness of her parents moves into these toys, and now the couple, involuntarily, must find a way to return to their bodies, going through the craziest, most unexpected and fantastic journey that you can imagine. Here is how Fares himself describes it:

“It Takes Two is a crazy roller coaster ride that has no end. It actually is, but this end is that the roller coaster is crashing and you are flying into the sky, going up into space, and when you find yourself there, you ask yourself: “what the hell am I doing here?”, and then, perhaps, you will return to Earth again. “

When developing It Takes Two, the primary goal of the Hazelight Studios team was to try to tightly weave the plot and gameplay together. According to the authors, the ability of the characters to influence each other ensures that the game is as exciting as it is exciting. Fares himself says that what they came up with “will blow you your fucking roof.”

The release of It Takes Two will take place in 2023. The platforms on which it will be released are still unknown.
