Take-Two financial report: GTA V sales exceeded 130 million copies, but EGS is out of business

Company Take-Two Interactive (controls publishers 2K Games, Private division and Rockstar games) published sales figures for fiscal 2019, which ended in March 2023.

So in the fourth fiscal quarter, net revenue grew to 760 million US dollars, net profit – 123 million. Net revenue for fiscal year 2019 was $ 3.09 billion; net profit was $ 404 million.

The list of the most successful projects is as follows:

  • GTA V – 130 million copies (free distribution in Epic Games Store not taken into account);
  • Red dead redemption 2 – 31 million copies;
  • NBA 2K20 – 12 million copies;
  • Borderlands 3 – 10 million copies;
  • Mafia iii – 7 million copies;
  • The outer worlds – 2.5 million copies.

Due to solid success GTA V and NBA 2K20 Revenues from microtransactions increased by 47%. AND The outer worlds became the most successful clip game Private division.

Also interesting is the trend of falling income from sales of physical copies. At the end of the year, 82% of sales came from digital versions.

As for future plans, then by 2025 the company intends to release 93 games, of which 63 are AAA-level.
