Sales Switch reached the mark in 68.3 million consoles as of 30 September 2023, the company announced this morning Nintendo… Over the past three months, 6.85 million systems were sold around the world, which is 42.7% more than in the same period last year and exceeds the results of the first quarter in which Animal Crossing: Hew Horizons… Most of the sales are for the flagship hybrid model.
Amid strong demand, Nintendo increased its annual sales forecast for Switch from 19 million to 24 million consoles, revised its revenue plan from 1.2 trillion yen to 1.4 trillion yen and raised its forecast for operating income from 300 billion yen to 450 billion yen.
Nintendo and its partners sold 49.82 million copies of games on Switch between July and September, and the company plans to sell 170 million copies of games for the platform for the whole year (figures for the first two quarters are ~ 100 million, total – 456.49 million ).
