Spider-Man in a frame and on a wall: Insomniac Games unveils an improved photo mode for Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales

Studio Insomniac Games published a new trailer for the superhero action movie Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales… In it, the creators showed in detail what opportunities will be available to players when using improved photo mode

In order to make life easier for gamers, the developers added an option that allows you to place three light sources in the photo at once and control them by changing the settings for height, distance, light intensity (and color), as well as its diffusion and softness.

Players are allowed to control the natural lighting of the environment, adjust the overall lighting of the photo, and adjust the brightness and position of the sun. In addition, the photo mode menu added the ability to change the costume, enable or disable the invisibility of characters, select weather conditions, and also added additional parameters for depth of field near and from afar.

New Photo Mode features will be available in Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered, so the authors are looking forward to new photos with Peter, processed with new tools from the fans.

Some of the developers at Insomniac have shared the secrets of impressive photos:

“Don’t be afraid that filters will ruin your shot. Filters at 25% or less can add a touch of aesthetic to your shot that is difficult to achieve with lighting alone,” Assistant Developer Brandon Tepezeno.

“For me, composition is key. Change the position of the sun and moon! Adjust the lighting based on how you feel, and then play around with focal length and aperture,” Senior Animation Designer James Ham.

“I shone the light towards the sky to emphasize or add drama to weather conditions like fog or snow,” Senior Gameplay Designer Paul Hiley.

“The first thing in photo mode I work with the position of the camera. Rotating the camera makes it much easier to capture the movement of the hero during flight or battle. Try to match the color of the lighting to the color of the subject in the frame. Underground “- Developer Charlie Carucci.

“Even if you’re playing in Performance Mode, when you launch Photo Mode on your PS5, the game will go into Quality Mode, allowing you to capture 4K footage with ray tracing,” CTO Mike Fitzgerald.

“Lighting can add richness to special effects. Orange or yellow hues will accentuate the brilliance of Miles’ biopower effects. ”- Lead User Interface Designer Jill Doron.

Release Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales took place on November 12 for PS4 and PS5.
