Sony unveils teaser trailer for Morbius with Jared Leto as a vampire

Sony continues to expand its own line of films about heroes from the universe Marvel. Today, the film company presented the first trailer for the film “Morbius, living vampire“, In which he played the main role Jared Leto.

Sony launched its own movie universe with the release of the film “Venom», Which appeared at the box office in 2018. In the second picture, we will meet with the biochemist Dr. Michael Morbius, who finds a rare blood disease. In an attempt to heal himself, Morbius turns into a vampire and at the same time acquires fantastic abilities. One thing is bad: he needs to feed on human blood.

Morbius made his debut in Marvel Comics back in 1971 in the 101st issue of the comic strip “The amazing Spider Man“. In addition to Jared Leto, the main roles in the film were Adria Archon (“Good Signs”, “True Detective”), Matt Smith (Doctor Who, Crown) and Jared harris (“Chernobyl”, “Journey to the edge of the Earth”).

“Morbius, a living vampire” will appear in theaters on July 30, 2023. The director of the film was Daniel Espinosa, the author of the films Living and Number 44.

In the trailer two Easter eggs flash at once. The first is a poster with Spider-Man in an old suit from the time of Toby Maguire, taken directly from the Marvel’s Spider-Man game from Insomniac Games (apparently in this way the authors tried to emphasize Morbius’s involvement in the Sam Raimi trilogy, but did not figure out where the image was received from). The second – at the end of the trailer appears Michael Keaton, who played the role of Vulture in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Perhaps the actor will return to his image of the enemy of Spider-Man.
