Restart Silent hill from Sony and the veterans of the series was not announced at the presentation Playstation 5, as some insiders said, however, they continue to assure that the project is real and is indeed in development.
In a recent discussion with Twitter users, an informant Dusk golem added to previously known information that Silent Hill reboot will use some parts of another Japanese horror – Siren, and it’s not about the old issues of the series, but about some unreleased game on which Sony worked several years ago, but in 2018 canceled.
According to him, the negotiations between SIE and Konami about the new Silent Hill began some time before, so it was possible they refused to return Siren to Sony when they got the chance to work with Silent Hill. Details are not specified.
(2/2) was a Siren game in dev that got canceled somewhere in 2018. The talks of a Silent Hill game with Sony started before this, SH is using some of the pieces from Siren. The reasoning is complex & probably be a long chain to explain.
That’s if the Sony stuff is all true.

According to rumors, the new Silent Hill is created by franchise authors Keiichiro Toyama and Masahiro Ito at SIE Japan Studio with the participation of many developers Siren and Gravity Rush. The music is written by Akira Yamaoka. The project supposedly should be released in 2023 exclusively on the PS5.
