Samsung and MediaTek introduce 8K-TV with Wi-Fi 6 – review

Samsung and MediaTek introduced the world’s first 8K QLED TV with support for Wi-Fi 6. The range includes models Q950 and Q900although it is not yet clear how they differ from each other.

Note that the new data transfer standard will provide maximum speed when watching online broadcasts. In numbers, we are talking about bandwidth up to 13 Gb / s with a compatible router with six support.

In the future, it is expected that other televisions of the South Korean giant will receive support for the new transmission standard, although nothing is said about the exact timing and specific models.

According to the press service of MediaTek, Samsung is stimulating the growth of the premium smart TV segment. And this, in turn, allows the Chinese chip maker to bring innovative solutions to the market.

Note that it is MediaTek chips with Wi-Fi 6 support that are installed in most routers and network devices on the market. So this segment will obviously expand very quickly.
