But now the authors do not guarantee that they will manage to cope before the end of 2023 – the launch is delayed indefinitely.
As the reason for the transfer, as often happens, the developers called the need to improve the quality of the final product. According to them, they want to provide gamers with an “exceptional gaming experience.”
“Since quality is our top priority, we want to spend the necessary time on implementing all our plans. Therefore, we had to make a difficult decision to postpone the release of the game until the next announcement. Additional time will be used for feedback-based adjustments to provide the best version of The Settlers possible.” .
The author of the original 1991 game, Volker Vertich, takes part in creating the restart of The Settlers strategy. Rethinking the series will offer fresh game mechanics, multiplayer modes and an island system to populate new cities.
Ubisoft is already returning players money for pre-orders.
