Screen adaptation The division from Netflix has found a new director – Rawson Marshall Thurber (“We Are the Millers”, “Lucky Sam”, “Skyscraper”).
He replaced David Leitch (“John Wick”, “Deadpool 2”), who left the project due to scheduling issues. The main roles still need to be played Jessica Chastain and Jake Gyllenhaal…
One of the last works of the director was an action comedy “Red notice” from Dwayne Johnson, Gal Gadot and Ryan Reynolds for the same Netflix – the tape should be released on the service this year.
The plot of the adaptation of The Division will repeat the events of the original game, when after a virus appeared on the streets of New York, a squad of special agents was called in to save the community.
There is no exact date for the premiere of the project yet.
