Map Editor, Flight & DualSense Support: New Details for Ubisoft’s Far Cry 6 Shooter

Shooter development team Far cry 6 French publishing house Ubisoft held an open AMA session at the site Reddit… As part of the initiative, the scriptwriter answered questions from fans Navid Kawari, Benjamin Hall and development manager Alexander Latendre

Some interesting points from the conversation

  • Far Cry 6 will return a wingsuit that lets you hover freely while jumping off hills and structures. Additionally, players will gain access to a grappling hook.
  • Many new covert kill and kill animations have been recorded for Far Cry 6.
  • Far Cry 6 will not have a map editor. Initially, they wanted to include this option in the project, but later the developers preferred to focus all their efforts on working out the story campaign.
  • The version of Far Cry 6 for the PlayStation 5 console will actively use the features of the DualSense gamepad – the developers assure that players “will not be disappointed.”
  • Far Cry 6 will have a classic set of vehicles for the franchise – gamers will be able to move both in various cars and in more exotic vehicles such as planes and helicopters.
  • Far Cry 6’s storyline campaign can be played entirely in co-op with a friend.
  • Far Cry 6 is preparing a large-scale post-release support with additional content. More about this Ubisoft plans to tell in the near future.
  • As previously stated, optimizing Far Cry 6 for older PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles remains a top priority for technicians. The developers are sure that the shooter will perform well on the systems of the previous generation.
