In the database Geekbench processor test results appeared Intel Core i7-1165G7. This is a quad-core representative of the line Tiger lakewhich compared with Ryzen 7 4800U in single and multiple core mode.
It is reported that the “blue” chip scored 6737 points in single-threaded testing, while the Ryzen 7 4800U scored 5584 points. It is important to note that in this case, the clock frequency is important, which for the Core i7-1165G7 is 2.8 GHz in the base case and 4.7 GHz in maximum. Ryzen 7 4800U has a lower performance: 1.8-4.2 GHz.
But in the multi-threaded test, Ryzen 7 4800U scored 27538 points against 23414 for Intel CPUs. However, the reason here is also simple – the “red” chip has twice as many cores and threads than the “blue” one.
Note that laptops based on Tiger Lake should appear on sale by the end of the year.
