Huang confirmed that Ampere architecture will “fit” in GeForce cards – review

Executive Director NVIDIA Jensen Huang at a press statement confirms that chips with graphic architecture Ampere will appear both as a part of computing accelerators, and game video cards. Although there will be a difference between the chips.

Note that the company intends to replace Turing and Volta a single common platform that will unify the GPU and optimize solutions. Huang also said that the company was the first to integrate all the workloads to accelerate computing in data centers into a common platform.

The head of the company emphasized that the cards Tesla and GeForce based on Ampere will receive different configurations. In the first case, the emphasis will be on blocks suitable for machine learning and speeding up computing. And in the second case – for gaming.

Huang bluntly stated that each would be very similar in architecture, but not in configuration.
