It turns out Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II created on Unreal Engine 5 – the next version of the engine Epic games, which uses different features of the new generation consoles.
In general, the news is limited to this: the developers did not share how the new product will use the capabilities of the engine, only having promised that the technology will help to show Hellblade such “as it has not yet been seen.”
Journalist Jeff Grubb notes that the game probably began to be made on Unreal Engine 4, but eventually moved to the fifth version – this is a relatively popular practice in the industry.
In addition, the studio inXilepreparing for the release of Wasteland 3 is also making its next game on UE5.
