Frostpunk Mobile will not port Frostpunk to mobile devices

Not so long ago we wrote that the company NetEase Games took over the release of the mobile version of the post-apocalyptic survival game Frostpunk… And now the company has told in more detail what awaits fans of games on smartphones.
Information about the future has appeared on the official website. Frostpunk mobile… Additionally, the project was presented at the NetEase conference. And now it is known that we will not see a port of the PC version, but a specially developed version.

In the future Frostpunk Mobile, NetEase will be responsible for all content, including code and design. Studio 11 bit provides art and music and keeps track of what comes out.

The mobile version will have two game modes: serene, similar to the endless mode in the original, and a survival mode designed for experienced players. In serene mode, you can make your life easier with microtransactions, buying missing resources or even special buildings.

There will be only one scenario in the game at the time of release, but it is different from what we saw on PC. Over time, others should appear. For the game, some mechanisms are also created, adapted to the specifics of platforms: Roguelike Adventure, Law and Guild, Animal Rescue Station and Character Development.

Frostpunk Mobile will be a free-to-play microtransaction game. Its soft launch should take place this year.
