April 10th company Capcom released an update for the remake Resident evil 3 on Xbox one x. The developers have improved the frame rate, bringing them almost to a stable 60 FPS. However, this led to the fact that the resolution of the game, which previously amounted to native 4K, was reduced to 1620r. This is exactly what is used in the version for the PS4 Pro.
The first to notice this was the English blogger NX Gamer, noted changes on your twitter.
“I just finished editing the video I shot last night and saw the released Resident Evil 3 update for the Xbox One X. It lowered the resolution to 2880×1620, which corresponds to the version of the game for the PS4 Pro. Performance has grown and is now close to 60 FPS. Finally!”
A similar observation was shared by VGTech youtuber, who wrote that the game now works on blocked 60 FPS on the Xbox One X.
“The Xbox One X version numbered 1.0.0.5 renders in the resolution of 2880 × 1620, and the Xbox One X version numbered 1.0.0.4 renders at 3840 × 2160. It seems that both versions use chess rendering to achieve the declared results,” – he writes.
At the time of its release, the Xbox One X version of the Resident Evil 3 remake suffered from poor performance. And if the average frame rates on the PS4 Pro reached 57 FPS, then on the Xbox One X – 47.
A remake of Resident Evil 3 was released on PS4, Xbox One, and PC on April 3, 2023.
