Project A shooter will be significantly different from Overwatch, but it will copy a number of CS: GO features. This was told by journalists, bloggers and commentators, whom Riot Games invited to try out the game. On the night of February 12, the developers allowed them to share their views on Project A. Cybersport.ru collected all the new details about the title.
Game mode
The main mode of Project A is a 5v5 battle with a bomb laying on one of two points. Teams will change sides after half the game. In the mode that Riot showed, you need to win 12 rounds to win.
Weapons and abilities
Shooting will play a key role in Project A. The weapon in the shooter will have its own range of bullets and other features. A headshot to a character of any class from most types of weapons will be fatal. Abilities, like devices, are bought at the beginning of rounds. Skills are auxiliary in nature, like the operatives from Rainbow Six Siege, but with proper use they can give a tactical advantage over the opponent. The economy in Project A will resemble CS: GO – eco-rounds are needed to make a full purchase in subsequent ones.
Free-to-play
Project And it will be free, developers want to monetize the shooter due to skins for characters. Immediately after the release, the game is likely to be available only on a PC. Project A is the working title of the title, and it is subject to change.
Design
Nobody commented on the shooter’s graphics, they noted only the development of locations. They look like cards in CS: GO, but the main emphasis is on their gameplay convenience, rather than a variety of colors and aesthetics. To work on Project A, the company involved the creator of Cache for CS: GO – Salvatore Volcano Garozzo.
ESports insider and analyst Genus Slasher Breslau stated that Project A has an unlimited budget, and the game is primarily focused on the Asian market. He also noted that in the West, the project from Riot Games will be able to get ahead of all other shooters.
Project A was announced at the League of Legends 10th anniversary event. Representatives of Riot did not name the release date of the shooter, but announced that at the moment it is at an early stage of development. After the trailer was demonstrated, the head of the studio, Nicolo Laurent, noted that the abilities in Project A could not replace the shooting – it would be impossible to kill opponents with their help.
