“Fallen God”: The first frames and covers of the comic prequel God of War: Fallen God

While the release of the new part of God of War in 2023 remains in question, fans of the series can count on at least one new project in the franchise this year. Publisher Dark horse prepares for release of the official prequel comic God of war: fallen god, and the portal IGN shared today exclusive footage from its first chapter, as well as the covers of the first three issues.

Fallen God will unfold between the events of the third and fourth games in the series, promising to shed light on what happened to Kratos after the murders of Zeus and Athena, and what made him try to become husband and father again.

Fallen God reunited the creative team behind previous God of War comics, including author Chris Roberson and artist Tony Parker. They were also joined by colorist Dan Jackson, letterhead John Rochelle and cover illustrator Dave Raposa.
