Computers work on the basis of domestic editions of Linux: Elbrus Linux, Alt, Astra Linux and Neutrino. As the application software, the packages “MyOffice” and LibreOffice are used.
Sergey Sakhnenko, the industrial director of the corporation’s electronic cluster, said that Russian companies have already shown interest in these systems. According to him, only for the fuel and energy complex 70-80 thousand cars are needed. He also noted that in the “Elbrus” there are no “bookmarks” and other problems inherent in foreign ones.
As for the specifications, it says about 16 GB of RAM at maximum. It is also argued that computers can be used for standard office tasks, the work of engineers and designers.
It is noted that an uninterruptible power supply is added to the case of each PC. A smart card reader is built into the keyboard, there is also an tamper sensor. The price has not yet been announced.
