Cyberpunk 2077 PC score drops to 87 on Metacritic – CD Projekt pushed the game to December for 90

As of December 18, the rating of the PC version Cyberpunk 2077 on the review aggregator Metacritic dropped to 87 points out of 100. In total, the site administration has taken into account 69 reviews to date.

On December 10, Cyberpunk 2077’s average score was 91 out of 100, but over the next week, the best version of the game lost a few points and lost the “Must-Play” status awarded by Metacritic exclusively to games with ratings above 90.

Interestingly, the developers themselves focused on the bar above 90 points.

In early November, CD Projekt Vice President Michal Novakovskiy said that the desire to take the coveted bar on Metacritic was the main reason for the last transfer of Cyberpunk 2077

“When it comes to Metacritic, we always focus on 90+, so nothing has changed now. This is our goal. [с Cyberpunk 2077]is actually the main reason for the delay in release. The game requires extra polish, “he explained to investors.

Game version for Playstation 4 as of this writing, it is rated on Metacritic at 54 points out of 100 based on 17 reviews, and release for Xbox one awarded 55 points after considering 6 survey materials

And so at one time, journalists appreciated The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt:

  • PC – 93 out of 100
  • PlayStation 4 – 92 out of 100
  • Xbox One – 91 out of 100
