According to the channel’s sources, negotiations between Microsoft and ByteDance will be completed in the next three weeks, with the participation of the US Treasury Secretary Stephen Mnuchin… The American IT giant has already agreed with the authorities that the TikTok code will be rewritten within a year.

Formerly president Donald Trump previously announced that the application will be blocked if the Chinese company does not sell it before September 15, 2023. At the same time, the head of state believes that the federal treasury should receive a share of the deal, which some have already classified as a “kickback.”

Note that the TikTok app is valued at $ 50 billion, and the entire ByteDance at $ 100 billion. However, Microsoft intends to buy only the rights to the versions of the application for the markets of the USA, Australia, New Zealand and Canada.
