Cinemas of the Nizhny Novgorod region will stop working due to new restrictions

Cinemas of the Nizhny Novgorod region want to temporarily suspend their work due to new restrictions from the state.

The owners of 18 sites sent a collective letter to the regional administration with a similar request – they believe that the upcoming update of measures in conjunction with vaccinations against coronavirus will completely deprive them of viewers.

We are talking about innovations in the decree of the regional governor of June 16, according to which only visitors with a certificate of vaccination or a document on a negative PCR test made no more than 72 hours ago will be allowed to public events. Cinemas are also included in the list of mass points.

Now in the region, cinemas sell no more than 60% of tickets from the total capacity and operate at a loss throughout the year.
