Russian cinemas will report the duration of ads and trailers – Igromania

Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed a decree obliging Russian cinemas to inform viewers about the duration of ads and trailers before screenings.

The corresponding decree will enter into force on March 1, 2023 – in this way, according to officials, viewers will better calculate the time and will not be late for the picture session.

In addition, visitors will be able to find out at the box office or the cinema’s website data on the technical characteristics of the halls, including the format of the sound system, the type of projector and the like. Also, cinemas will announce the availability of films in the repertoire with audio commentary and subtitles for people with hearing or vision impairments.

At the same time, the cinema networks will be able to prohibit spectators from bringing laser pointers, pyrotechnics and pungent substances into the halls.

The new rules will be valid until March 1, 2028.
