Blizzard announced that Blizzcon this year will not take place – because of the coronavirus pandemic, it still had to be canceled, because the world situation is not getting much better.
However, at the beginning of next year, the company is preparing to hold a digital event that will preserve the spirit of BlizzCon and will not be so dangerous for the health of its participants. The team would like to hold the event as early as possible, however, it will take time to create a new format.
Esports competitions will also try to find decent alternatives, but this also takes time.
