The effects of shadows and lighting achieved in this way are not a substitute for full-fledged raytracing, but with them Black Mesa really began to look better.
According to the author, everything shown in the video was reproduced in real time. Game started in permission 2560 x 1440 pixels on a system with graphics card NVIDIA RTX 2080 Superprocessor Intel Core i7-6700K and 32 GB DDR4 RAM.
Black mesa came out in full release last week.
