Dubbed mode Explore, removes from the game many things complicating the gameplay, such as counters of hunger and thirst, and falling into traps is no longer punishable by instant death – all the damage taken slowly depletes health through bleeding, giving the player a chance to recover. According to the developers, in the research mode there will also appear constant control points around the fires, so even after the character dies, the players will not have to start all over from the very beginning – the last checkpoint will save all the previously accumulated progress.
With the next update, lite mode will also appear in versions for Xbox One and PC, where Below has been available since the end of 2018. At the same time, hardcore players should not worry – the original survival mode will not disappear anywhere and will be preserved in its original form.
