Analyst Ben zozmerworking in The hollywood reporter, compiled a list of paintings that, in his opinion, are nominated for “Oscar” this year. Unlike other industry workers, Zozmer relies more on statistics than on his own opinion.
The publication has been issuing such articles for nine years, and the analyst rarely makes mistakes in them.
“Every year, I calculate the likelihood of each of the potential candidates in eight major categories getting nominated for an Oscar,” writes Zozmer. “My methodology takes into account the data obtained as a result of awards at other ceremonies, as well as the error of my past forecasts. I do not take into account any personal preferences or guesses. The figures below are a common prediction and are intended for an early look at the list of possible nominees for the Oscars. ”

Best Director – Sam Mandes (1917)
Best Actor – Joaquin Phoenix (The Joker)
Best Actress – Renee Zellweger (Judy)
Best Supporting Actor – Brad Pitt (“Once Upon a Time … in Hollywood”)
Best Supporting Actress – Laura Dern (Marriage Story)
Best Original Screenplay – Once Upon a Time in Hollywood
Best Adapted Screenplay – Irish
Oscar nominees will be officially announced on Monday. The ceremony itself will take place on the night of February 9-10, 2023. The event will be held without a host for the second year in a row.
