Studio Infinity ward continues to fight racism and intolerance in his games. This time, a new step for developers was the initiative to rename one of the appearances in shooters Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Call of Duty: Warzone.

As it turned out, such a combination of visual solutions and text was perceived by part of the audience as an attack on illegal Mexican migrants, the idea of which was quickly conveyed to Infinity ward. And the result did not have to wait long: together with the latest update, the skin was renamed to “Home on the range“referring to a famous folk song, and the offensive text turned into a sentence”play with deer and antelopes“. At the same time, the costume did not receive any visual changes.
Such a decision is far from the first act Infinite ward in an attempt to create a more welcoming and inclusive community. Similarly, not so long ago from famous shooters gone gesture “Ok“, which some interpreted as a symbol of intolerance and the superiority of whites.
