Apple will release Mac on its own processor in 2023 – review

Apple plans to release the first computers Mac with its own processors already in 2023, reports Bloomberg with reference to their sources. The technology giant is working on three proprietary systems-on-a-chip, which are based on A14. This chipset will be, including the basis for future iPhone and iPad.

Apple is expected to release at least one Mac with its own chip next year. However, as part of the Kalamata initiative, several systems-on-a-chip are being developed, so that in the future all devices of the company are likely to switch to them. This will allow the corporation to distance itself from Intel.

The technical parameters of the new processors are still unknown. It is only reported that they will be 5-nanometer. It is also known that they will receive the big.LITTLE layout, as well as other mobile chips. For example, the latest processor iPad Pro has four cores for high loads and four more for low-power tasks.

In the case of SoC for Mac, there are eight productive and four low-power cores. The device itself will most likely be laptops, not a desktop computer.
