ESIM technology allows you to abandon the traditional “sims” in favor of virtual ones. So far, it is only in products Apple, Microsoft, Samsung and Huawei. The system can also be used in the Internet of Things systems, providing remote maintenance capabilities and simplifying the design. After all, a virtual card chip is built into a smartphone or tablet initially.
According to the tender documentation, the contractor must propose a method for identifying the eSIM user, as well as verifying the authenticity of his personal data. In addition, it is proposed to study the possibility of introducing domestic cryptographic algorithms into the system.
It is not specified yet who plans to take part in the tender. However, interest in eSIM was previously announced by representatives of the Big Three operators.
