It is worth noting that in the reports Nintendo takes into account only those games that are available both in retail and in digital format. Sales of games presented exclusively in eShop (and there are so many) are not taken into account.

Along with the publication of the report, Nintendo increased its forecasts for the total annual sales of games and consoles for the current fiscal year to 19.5 million (+ 2.5 million compared with the original expectations) and 140 million (+15 million), respectively.
Analysts believe the company will easily be able to take the numbers, as this fiscal year will end with the release of another blockbuster for Nintendo Switch – Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
In the first three quarters of the fiscal year, all of Nintendo’s financials increased. The company received 1.02 trillion yen in revenue and 196.39 billion yen (about $ 2 billion) in net profit.
