4K, DualSense and 3D sound: Square Enix has dated Final Fantasy XIV reissue for PlayStation 5

Square Enix has dated the updated version Final fantasy xiv for Playstation 5… The release will take place May 25 simultaneously with patch 5.55.

Reissue of FFXIV for PS5 will offer faster downloads, 4K support, high-definition UI, controller tactile feedback support DualSense, new trophies and 3D sound support. The update is currently in open beta testing.

Patch 5.55 will also bring the second part of the Death Unto Dawn main scenario, an update to the Save the Queen questline, new epilogue quests YoRHa: Dark Apocalypse, and a reward for collecting all Triple Triad cards.

In addition, Square Enix has shared a roadmap for Final Fantasy XIV updates for the coming months.:

  • May 25 – update 5.55
  • July – Make it Rain campaign
  • June-July – update 5.57
  • July-August – update 5.58
  • August – Moonfire Faire / The Rising
  • September – Final Fantasy XV Collaboration returns
  • November 23 – Endwalker extension launch

Final Fantasy XIV is now available on PlayStation 4, PC and Mac.
