Scorn Horror Developers: The Rays is the Future, But You Shouldn’t Wait for Them Now in Every Game

Game director Ebb software Lubomir Peklar told WCCFTech reporters how the next-gen trailer was created Scorn. According to him, to demonstrate the technical capabilities of the game, the developers needed to run it on NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Ti and processor AMD Ryzen. As a result, the studio was able to record video in resolution 4K at 60FPS.

Peklar claims that the computer is based RTX 2070 Super will also be able to run the game in 4K / 60FPS, however, owners of this video card will have to lower the settings from Ultra to lower.

He also called Directml and NVIDIA DLSS 2.0 interesting solutions to improve gaming performance. The studio wants to give users the maximum number of options, but at the moment there are no such technologies in the project.

There is no real-time ray tracing in the Scorn demo. Developers use classic visualization techniques, as they suit the game. According to the designer, the rays will be fully used in the future, but now and in the near future they will be applied from time to time.

Scorn is created for PC and Xbox Series X.
