Horror in the rays of nextgen: Dead by Daylight will receive ray tracing support on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X / S

In early September, the authors Dead by daylight confirmed that by the end of this year the game will receive an improved version for Xbox series x and Playstation 5, and users of current consoles will be able to download the upgrade for free.

Dead by Daylight will be updated for nextgen as part of the global graphic rework of the project on all platforms. In addition to improved visuals, the version of the game for the new consoles will run in 4K resolution at 60 frames per second.

But that’s not all. In conversation with the WCCFtech portal studio Behavior Interactive confirmed that the game will also get ray tracing on PS5, Xbox Series X / S and PC… According to the developers, ray tracing will allow you to raise the level of immersion to new heights, but they will not add RT effects to the project immediately in order to avoid a negative impact on the gameplay and balance.

Another point that the studio clarified is related to Xbox series s… Initially, Dead by Daylight will run at 1080p, but later the authors will try to raise the resolution to 1440p.

Also at launch, the updated Dead by Daylight will not support the unique features of the PlayStation 5, including tactile feedback. DualSense, adaptive triggers and surround sound technology Tempest 3D AudioTech… The studio’s goal was to get to the launch window for new consoles, and for that they had to prioritize.

Dead by Daylight is available on PC, PS4, Xbox One, Switch, iOS, Android, and Google Stadia.
