What will happen to The Black Widow? The head of Disney spoke about the distribution of the fate of the long-awaited film

Decision on theatrical premiere of the superhero blockbuster “Black Widow“can be taken literally at the last moment, depending on various factors. Bloomberg told the CEO of the corporation Disney Bob Chapek

Initially a solo album about the Black Widow performed by Scarlett Johansson was supposed to hit screens back in May last year and begin the fourth phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, this did not happen. Subsequently, the tape was postponed several times, and at the moment the premiere is scheduled for May 7, which, however, may not be the final premiere window.

In an interview, Bob Chapek noted that the situation is constantly changing, so the final decision on the theatrical premiere “Black widow“or any other Disney film can be taken at the very last moment. He cited the example of cinemas in New York and Los Angeles, which until recently did not work, but now their doors are open to visitors.

Against this background, an alternative to the theatrical premiere could be the release of the film on the streaming service Disney + for an additional fee, as was the case with Mulan, but if you believe the rumors, then the head of the Marvel studio Kevin Feige opposes this decision.
