“We need to constantly modernize this world”: Another remake of Final Fantasy VII may appear in 20 years

In one of these conversations, the producer of the upcoming revival of the classics and the gaming industry veteran Yoshinori Kitase shared his thoughts on the emerging game and his personal attitude to working on it.

According to Kitase, the authors of the remake do not intend to wait long and will begin to actively develop the continuation in the shortest possible time.

“Most likely, we will not take breaks and will immediately begin work on the next part of Final Fantasy VII Remake,” Kitase explains.

Moreover, the game producer is not even afraid of the potential prospect of devoting his entire remaining career to working on the Final Fantasy VII universe.

“If you leave Final Fantasy VII alone, it will simply go away in people’s memory as a relic of the past, no one will show special interest in it. But if we want people to continue to love this world so that the future generation will be interested in it, we we need to constantly come back to it and modernize it, as we do today. 10 or 20 years will pass and, perhaps, we will have to release a second remake!
