Watch Dogs Legion with 60 FPS support tested on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series

This week for Watch dogs legion A major update was released that, among other things, added a performance mode with support for 60 FPS to the game on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series.

Now the author Youtube-channel ElAnalistaDeBits tested the action movie on the next generation consoles to compare the picture and performance in different game modes.

Recall that initially Watch Dogs Legion worked in dynamic resolution up to 4K at 30 FPS on PS5 and Xbox Series X and up to 1080p at 30 FPS on Xbox Series S. In addition, the game supports ray tracing on the next generation consoles.

ElAnalistaDeBits notes that there are no noticeable changes in textures, draw distance or shadows in performance mode, but ray traced reflections are disabled.

At the same time, on all three consoles, the dynamic resolution almost always remains in the range of the quality mode. However, in some places, a difference of 5% was noticed.

The frame rate itself also remains stable on all three consoles, but in the Xbox versions, at certain points, you can see the so-called “screen tearing”.

Recall that along with the release of the update on the PC started testing the zombie mode “Legion of the Dead”. Previously, Watch Dogs Legion moved the Legacy Story Expansion featuring Aiden Pierce and Rench from the previous installments of the series from late June to early July.
