Violators identified: Sony has identified who is behind the leaks on The Last of Us: Part II

Company Sony Interactive Entertainment was able to establish who is behind the leaks by The Last of Us: Part IIas a result of which many players have already managed to spell out important plot points of the expected game for themselves Playstation 4. This was announced by official representatives of the platform holder in a commentary to the publication GamesIndustry.biz.

The statement emphasizes that people who posted several hours of The Last of Us: Part II online are not employees of Sony or Naughty Dog Studios.. The company declined to comment further.

“On May 1, Sony confirmed to GamesIndustry.biz that it identified the key individuals behind the leaks in The Last of Us: Part II. The publisher declined to comment further, indicating that the information is part of an ongoing investigation.”

Earlier on the network, a rumor appeared that the leak was committed by Naughty Dog employees, came into conflict with the management of the studio because of financial differences. However today editor Bloomberg Jason Schreyer disproved this theory.

Another popular suggestion: game testers from Brazil or Portugal are behind the leak.

Sony is currently trying to remove network-spoiler videos and even prohibits YouTube bloggers from discussing what happenedbut on the forums and on social networks they continue to sort out the revealed plot details. Naughty Dog Creative Director and One of Us Lead Writer Neil Drackmann actually suggested that everyone unhappy not to buy the game.

The Last of Us: Part II is coming out June 19, 2023.
