Turn10: Physics In New Forza Motorsport Will Be A Huge Leap For The Series

Relaunch Creative Director Forza Motorsport Chris Esaki During the last stream, Forza Monthly spoke a little about the upcoming race. According to the developer, the new Forza will show a qualitatively huge leap in terms of physics.

For better understanding, he noted that the scale of the changes compared to the previous part will be even greater than between Forza Motorsport 4 and Forza Motorsport 7. In particular, Turn10 significantly improved the tire-to-road model, increasing the number of contact points from one to eight. and the update rate went from 60 to 360 cycles per second.

“The game is called Forza Motorsport. There is no 8 after the title. This is truly a whole new experience in the franchise.”

Esaki also added that the recent closed multiplayer testing has been a huge success, with the next wave of playtests starting this summer.

New Forza Motorsport is in the making for PC and Xbox Series X / S, but no release date yet… The latest preview of the game is expected to take place as part of the Xbox E3 launch later this week. The show starts on June 13th at 20:00 Moscow time.
