Studio Sledgehammer Gamescurrently engaged in the creation of a military shooter Call of Duty: Vanguard, distanced itself from the publishing house unfolding around Activision Blizzard scandal.
According to the resource GamesRadar +, the official statement regarding the litigation initiated against the publisher was made personally by Aaron Helen, head Sledgehammer Games, as part of a separate presentation Call of Duty: Vanguard for representatives of Western media.
The creators of Call of Duty: Vanguard are strongly against workplace toxicity. According to them, any manifestation of discrimination and harassment is unacceptable in modern society.
“Before we start, I would like to mention a number of current events. The stories that come to us from the affected people are really extremely hard to hear. You know that we love games. We do them. This is the work of our whole life, and But much more important is the fact that first of all ordinary people, we help each other, work together, and try not to let our colleagues down both in good and turbulent times.
On behalf of the entire Sledgehammer Games team and the people who support the production of Call of Duty: Vanguard, I want to say that any manifestation of intolerance, humiliation and harassment is something that we are unanimously opposed to. Absolutely all people, regardless of their position, role, gender, race, ethnicity or sexual orientation, should be greeted with honor, respect and equality.
While we cannot comment on the ongoing litigation, I can assure you that we are doing everything in our power to ensure that everyone in the studio feels safe and surrounded by a respectable team. Therefore, you should know that even starting the next presentation, we are primarily concerned with the above things. It is a reflection of our true values, ourselves, our aspirations. On behalf of the entire team, thank you. “
