US President Donald Trump said that the United States will ban TikTok and other Chinese applications, services and programs. At the same time, the above-mentioned social network will be able to work if an American company buys it. Moreover, this must be done before September 15, and the US Treasury will receive “a lot of money.”
As reported Bloomberg, only on these conditions TikTok will work in the USA. At the same time, Trump said that Microsoft it would be easier to buy out the entire company, not 30%. Although this was his personal opinion, not an official position.
The software giant has not yet commented on this. Also, the situation was not commented on in Chinese ByteDance, which currently owns TikTok.
Recall that earlier Microsoft officially confirmed its intention to buy part of the TikTok business. If the deal goes through, the company will get not only the American part of the service, but also divisions in Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
At the same time, the general director of the corporation Satya Nadella has already met with Trump. The company also promised to transfer all data of American users to the United States.
