Company Samsung leads the smartphone market in Russia after overthrow Huawei in the third quarter of this year. The latter ranked first in previous quarters, but due to a variety of factors, including supply shortages, the situation has changed.
In the third quarter of 2023, Huawei had a greater impact on online shopping channels in Russia. It has increased its online market share since 25.5% in the third quarter of 2019 to 27.8% a year later. At the same time, Samsung’s impact on Internet retailing declined, and in Q3 2023, Samsung recorded its online market share at 26.3% compared with 37.6% a year earlier.
However, the company was able to offset its online losses through strong sales through offline retail channels. According to Counterpoint research, the list of the most popular smartphone models in Russia was Galaxy A51 and Galaxy A31… This is not surprising given that the Galaxy A51 is one of the most popular Galaxy phones this year in many other markets.
According to industry experts, the smartphone market in Russia is recovering and flagship models are gaining more attention, thanks in part to attractive trade-in offerings.
