Now Reisel has to get used to a world unfamiliar to him, as well as to understand the mysteries of the past, with which he is helped by a former ally – not quite an ordinary Frankenstein man.

What we think: The story has a somewhat leisurely pace, but here and there there are distinct notes of undisguised homoeroticism – the girls should like it.

Akudama Drive

  • Genre: Science Fiction, Action
  • Premiere: October 8, 2023
  • Episodes: 12
  • Studio: Pierrot
  • Director: Tomohisa Taguchi

About what: Cyberpunk with cool character designs and a bouncy twist. After the unfolding civil war in Japan, the Kansai region actually became a vassal of the Kanto region. Now Kansai begins to literally drown in raging crime, and at the epicenter of everything there is a special group of people – Akudama, into whose struggle an unremarkable girl is drawn.

What we thinkA: Visual style alone should be enough to spark at least minimal interest in you. Plus, for the episodes that came out, the events did not lose momentum, and the plot is still interesting to watch.

Patriotism Moriarty / Yuukoku no Moriarty

  • Genre: Detective, thriller
  • Premiere: October 11, 2023

About what: Anime, based on the works of the legendary Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, but instead of a story about a detective with an incredibly outstanding mind Sherlock Holmes, the narrative focuses on the fate of his worst enemy – William Moriarty.

What we think: A fresh take on classic artistic imagery. And the setting is fruitful, especially for anime. Well, the bisenens, of course, where can we go without them?

Waiting rating: 2/5

Attack on Titan: The Final / Shingeki no Kyojin: The Final Season

  • Genre: Action, Fantasy
  • Premiere: December 7, 2023
  • Episodes: unknown
  • Studio: MAPPA
  • Director: Jun Shishido, Yuichiro Hayashi
  • Source: Manga

About what: The final chapter of the film adaptation of the already cult manga of the same name by Hajime Isayama. The series should cover the last, eighth story arc, so you need to start watching only after reading the original source or previous seasons.

What we think: The last season of “Titans” suddenly changed the senior animation studio – the epic ending is drawn by the MAPPA team. This is somewhat embarrassing, but judging by the previews, you shouldn’t worry too much. On the other hand, the question remains as to how the authors of the anime are going to fit so many events in just one season – it is likely that we will have a somewhat crumpled narrative.
