Timur Bekmambetov will remove his new film with the help of War Thunder – review

While the coronavirus pandemic undermines the production of films and series around the world, director Timur Bekmambetov intends to use video games to continue shooting the blockbuster “FAA. Escape from Hell.

According to the publication Deadline, this friday, march 20, at the movie studio Lenfilm in St. Petersburg, the film crew plans to shoot an air battle scene. In order to minimize contact between people, the leading actor Pavel Priluchny will be put in the cockpit of an aircraft, which will be surrounded by LED screens with a simulation of conflict.

Screens will show footage from the game War thunderwhere Priluchny will pilot a virtual plane, fighting against real gamers. After the shooting, the frames will be brought to mind using computer graphics.

At the same time, Bekmambetov himself intends to manage the process of filming, which will be broadcast live on social networks, remotely using Microsoft teams.

“FAA. Escape from Hell ”will be released in 2023. The cinema will receive a horizontal version, but viewers will be able to enjoy the vertical version on their mobile phones. The plot of the picture tells the real story of Mikhail Devyatayev, a Soviet pilot who escaped from a German concentration camp in February 1945 on a stolen bomber.
