This is the end: Rockstar announces the imminent closure of GTA Online on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3

Company Rockstar games reported bad news for users who continue to play GTA Online on the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3… Back in September 2015, the developers stopped updating versions of the game for outdated platforms, and today it was announced that the network component of GTA V will be permanently disabled on the consoles of the last generation December 16, 2023

A few months before, 15th September, on PS3 and X360 will close the possibility of purchasing “Shark” payment cards.

In addition, from September 16, 2023, statistics tracking via the Rockstar Games Social Club website and a number of other functions in some other games of the publisher for PS3 and Xbox 360 will stop working.

  • Tracking statistics in L.A. Noire

Rockstar noted that the upcoming changes will not affect access to story mode in these games in any way. The company has thanked the GTA Online fan community for their unrelenting support and hopes that players will continue to engage in online adventures in Los Santos on new platforms.
