Recently launched streaming service GeForce Now from company NVIDIA allows gamers to launch through cloud technology purchased in Steam and other stores computer games on PC virtually any configuration.
Despite the warm welcome from users, the launch of the cloud service was somewhat overshadowed by the fact that the company Activision Blizzard removed all her games from the GeForce Now catalog, citing the fact that her contract with NVIDIA was signed only for the beta period. Then, for similar reasons, publishers removed their games from the GeForce Now library Bethesda and 2K Games.
However, not all companies are going to follow the example of Activision and other companies. In a comment to the Kotaku portal, Ubisoft has confirmed that it is not going to stop supporting cloud services from NVIDIA.
“Ubisoft fully supports NVIDIA GeForce Now and gives players full access to purchases through the Ubisoft Store or any other supported game stores,” said Chris Rano, vice president of partnerships and revenue for the French publisher. “We believe that this is an advanced service that gives users on the PC a choice – how and where to play their favorite games.”
The main feature of the GeForce Now service is that users can buy games on different trading platforms and associate their accounts with its client. In the first month of operation, GeForce Now attracted more than 1 million people.
