there were reviews on the film adaptation of “Sonic” – review

Online reviews appeared “Sonic in the cinema”, judging by which the film adaptation of the history of the blue hedgehog could not realize its potential.

At the moment, the tape has 44 points out of 100 on Metacritic from critics on 23 reviews and 65% of “freshness” on Rotten tomatobased on 40 reviews.
Most reviewers agree that the tape does not go beyond the boundaries of everyday life, despite a number of advantages. Among them are most often mentioned Jim Carrey in the image Dr. Robotnikwhose energetic work often distracts the viewer from the problems of the picture. According to the author New York Post, the character is so good that he deserves his own spin-offs.
Among the pluses, a rather good mood of the picture is noted, the hero of which, though teasing others, does it maliciously, and the emotional moments of the story are not felt strained.
However, some believe that even these pluses and Kerry’s energy are not enough to save the film. Author Empire noted that the picture is felt as a “missed opportunity”, and the reviewer Indiewire generally called it a “nightmare.”

One of the problems critics call the “corporate” spirit of the film, which was supposedly written by a committee. In addition, the picture clearly rests on the nostalgia of the 90s, but at the same time practically does not reveal its characters and plot. Author Total film writes that the tape is “a relic of the 90s in a number of aspects.”

To the cinema Sonic formally comes out on February 20, however, from today on, the early screenings of the picture started in domestic cinemas.
