Streaming game service xCloud currently uses server blades based on Xbox one s, but this year should be transferred to capacity Xbox series x in accordance with the previously announced plan.

According to the chief editor of Windows Central Jezu Corden, Microsoft has already begun the transition process and is currently testing server placement with upgraded hardware in Seattle.

According to the journalist, the use of Series X hardware instead of the One S will, in particular, significantly reduce delays. In terms of streaming quality, he expects Microsoft to close the gap entirely from Google Stadia

XCloud is currently in public beta for Android devices and is available for free to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers. Also last month, Microsoft began limited testing of the web version of the service for iOS and PC. The service officially operates on the territory of 22 countries – Russia is not among them.
