The events of the demo take place in a Persian city, collapsing under the onslaught of a terrible monster. The prince rushes forward using proprietary elements of acrobatics, rewinding time and other skills during a battle with a group of sand soldiers. At the end of the demonstration, huge tentacles lift part of the city into the air – everything crumbles and rumbles, but the protagonist confidently overcomes obstacles, making his way forward along the rubble of buildings and eventually encountering a monster face to face.
Veteran animator Jonathan Cooperwho previously worked at Ubisoft Montreal and Naughty Dog, confirmed accuracy of publication. However, he clarified that the footage shown is actually not real gameplay, but a pre-render game pitchcreated by a team led by Khai Hgayen, who later became a leading animator For honor.
“This target footage inspired us to pitch for Assassin’s Creed 3 because they did an incredible job making the demo look like real gameplay.”
