The main events of the original game line The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel took place within the borders of the Empire of Erebonius, however, the anime seems to tell a completely new story, focusing on the western regions of the continent of Zmuria.
The last part of the game series to date, The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel IV, now available on Playstation 4 (read our review here). English versions for Nintendo Switch and PC will debut on April 9, 2023.
