The latest Elden Ring leak turned out to be fake

A short snippet of an alleged internal trailer was posted online a few days ago. Elden ring

The video contained a few seconds showing different scenes and was watermarked with a privacy warning. At first glance, the leaked video looked quite convincing, especially since not so long ago there was a similar video leak on Elden Ring, the reliability of which was confirmed by authoritative sources.

However, the new leak turned out to be a fake. Reddit users quickly figured out that the video has nothing to do with the upcoming project FromSoftware and is actually a cut from the fan project The Hall of Their Pasts… Its author is a 3D conceptual artist Jack Fan… The original trailer has been on ArtStation for over four years and was prepared as a presentation of the thesis. The enthusiast did all the modeling, texturing and lighting himself, drawing inspiration from the games in the series Dark souls, hence the similarity with the corporate identity of the studio.

According to the VGC portal, the fake video was originally discovered on the forum. 4Chan… It looks like someone just ripped a piece out of a fan video and edited it to pass it off as a real leak for some reason. Another proof of why you shouldn’t trust 4Chan publications.
